Chris plays the Flute, Piccolo, Alto Flute, Clarinet and
 Soprano, Alto and Tenor Saxophones.

He can also play Bass Clarinet, Baritone Saxophone and Recorders in C.
 To grade 6 standard, the Bassoon and Oboe also.

He is taught Flute, Piccolo and Alto Flute with Nicky King and Clarinet, Bass Clarinet and Saxophone with West End musician Duncan Ashby, having previously been taught by orchestral player Mark Simmons.

He is a versatile and active musician playing with the university Orchestra, Windband, Georgian Band (Chamber Orchestra), Flute Ensemble, Clarinet Ensemble, Big Band, Recorder Ensemble, Chamber Wind Ensemble, Clarinet Quartet, Saxophone Quartet and the Gamelan Ensemble.
Separate to the university he plays with Bath Community Big Band and is a member of the Flutissimo Flute Trio.​
